Learning Objectives

The I Year Internship is essentially observational and aims to develop knowledge and understanding in relation to: Radiodiagnostic investigations and Radiotherapy treatments. Knowledge of fixed and mobile radiology equipment. Knowledge of Radiobiology and Equipment in Radiotherapy and Radiation Protection and Quality Controls in Health Physics


Course Structure

The CFU reserved for the internship is to be understood as a total commitment necessary for the student to achieve professional skills and includes experience in the Radiodiagnostic and Radiotherapy Operating Units. During the Internship there are tutorial sessions in small groups, exercises and simulations in the laboratory preparatory to the internship in public or private hospitals, guided study and elaboration of work plans, projects and reports


Detailed Course Content

Preparation of the patient for carrying out the various diagnostic and radiotherapy procedures. In particular, the assimilation of maneuvers, techniques and procedures for preparing the patient is required - in order to be able subsequently to guarantee the introduction into the diagnostic and treatment rooms, in compliance with safety and data compliance regulations personal;

Introduction and correct positioning of the patient in the diagnostic rooms or in the treatment rooms, with reference to positions and decubitus to be taken - by the patient - in order to allow the correct execution and acquisition of the investigations;

Setting of study protocols in diagnostic equipment - according to directive and regulations compliant with the EURATOM directive;
