TECNICHE DI DIAGNOSTICA PER IMMAGINI IV

Academic Year 2020/2021 - 2° Year
Teaching Staff Credit Value: 8
Taught classes: 56 hours
Term / Semester:

Learning Objectives

  • Gastroenterology

The student will have to learn the main pathologies of the digestive tract, the liver, the bile ducts and the pancreas.

    - The learning of the digestive tract, liver, bile ducts and pancreas pathologies should include:

    - knowledge of the basic elements of pathophysiology, etiology, pathogenesis, symptomatology and, above all, imaging diagnostics;

    - reasoned knowledge of rationality, economy and risk factors of the various diagnostic options practicable for each single digestive disease.

  • CHEST, ABDOMEN AND PELVIS RADIOLOGICAL ANATOMY

Student should be able to recognize and identify main anatomical features of chest, abdomen (gastro-intestinal system) and uro-genital systems

Course Structure

  • Gastroenterology

The mode of teaching of Gastroenterology involves, mainly, the conduct of a lecture of about 2 hours/ each with slides projection in power-point format, verbal commentary of the projected images, in-depth analysis of the subject underway, if requested by the student or if deemed necessary by the instructor in charge.

    * Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.

    * Learning assessment may also be carried out on line, should the conditions require it.

  • CHEST, ABDOMEN AND PELVIS RADIOLOGICAL ANATOMY

slides projections during lessons and final oral exam.

Detailed Course Content

  • Gastroenterology

The Gastroenterology Course will provide the student with an up-to-date, analytical and rational synthesis of the major digestive, liver, biliary and pancreas diseases related to their etiology, pathogenesis, symptomatology and diagnosis (predominantly for imaging). The course also aims to initiate a process of critical maturation of the knowledge of diagnostic options applicable in gastrointestinal diseases. Theoretical knowledge should also be supported by the vision of explanatory iconographic material, typically slides, on Diagnostic Algorithms, Rx images, TC, RM, Ecotomographies and Diagnostic Examinations with Digestive Endoscopy.

  • CHEST, ABDOMEN AND PELVIS RADIOLOGICAL ANATOMY

    Thoracic Radiological anatomy

    Gastro-intestinal radiological anatomy

Radiological anatomy of the pelvis (males and females)

Urinary radiological anatomy (kidney, ureteral, bladder)
