Principles of physics of ionizing radiations. Anatomy of main organs and systems. Notions of radiation protection. Dosimetry.

1) Background about CT scanners 2) Conventional CT scanners: first generation, second generation 3) Third and fourth generation CT, spiral CT, multidetector CT 4) Cardio-CT 5) Optimization of technical parameters of CT acquisition: kernel, pitch, dose, table speed 6) Dual-energy CT 7) Classification of contrast media in CT: guidelines, adverse reactions, molecules 8) Technical principles for the use of contrast media in CT (intravenous contrast, endocavitary contrast) 9) Techniques of post-processing
