Expected Learning Outcomes

Students of the Criminal Procedural Law course will acquire knowledge and understanding aimed at assimilating the fundamental legal rules of criminal procedure, in particular concerning criminal proceedings for environmental crimes and violations relating to hygiene and safety in the living and working places, as well as food safety and security.

Detailed Course Content

Basic procedural notions. The actors of criminal proceedings, with particular attention to the structure and functions of judicial police. Preliminary investigations. Investigation and environmental crimes/violations relating to hygiene and safety in the living and working places. Proceedings against legal persons for administrative liability resulting from a crime.

Textbook Information

It is recommended consulting Siracusano-Galati-Tranchina-Zappalà, Diritto processuale penale, Giuffrè 2023.

The teacher may provide further study material during the lectures.
