Learning Objectives

  • Graphic rehabilitative techniques

    To promote the knowledge of the neural networks involved in the cognitive processes and scientific basis of the art therapies. To acquire the theoretical background and methodologies of plastic-figurative intervention and their application in the field of the psychiatric rehabilitation.

  • TECNICHE DI ANIMAZIONE TEATRALE

    Acquisition of knowledge on major rehabilitation techniques based on the activity of drama (theatrical, cinematic, photographic) and their use in therapeutic field. Acquisition of the necessary skills to design a rehabilitation treatment program based on the technical object of matter, as well as to the individual's ability to integrate into multidisciplinary teams.

  • Music Therapy I

    Acquisition of notions on the main rehabilitation techniques, based on the activity of Music Therapy as a field of relationship and treatment, in the context of the main forms of psychiatric and neuropsychiatric pathology, in every phase of the life cycle, from infancy to senescence, also in patients with marked disability (cognitive impairment and neurodegenerative diseases). All the numerous schools and theoretical orientations of the international and Italian panorama will be illustrated. Particular in-depth study dedicated to the complex cognitive model developed in Italy by the Head of Teaching, Prof. Tullio Scrimali, recognized nationally and internationally.

    Theoretical lessons and practical exercises with devices for Applied Neuroscience such as the MindLAB Set.


Detailed Course Content

  • Graphic rehabilitative techniques

    Visual analysis (geometric models, depth perception, brightness, objects recognition, visual memory, visual analysis and motor activity, space and action representation, body scheme, practical organization, visual and spatial coordination, neglect phenomenology, reward, executive functions, attentive processes, perception and agnosia). The graphic arts in psychiatric rehabilitation: psychoanalytic, cognitive, narrative, systemic-relational approach. Atelier. Techniques of graphic performances. Role of art-therapist.

  • TECNICHE DI ANIMAZIONE TEATRALE

    Notes on rehabilitation in psychiatry (mental disability, chronicity and care) and notes on major psychiatric disorders subject to possible treatment-rehabilitation (neuroses, psychoses, personality disorders) and problems related to this. Rehabilitative models. Game, story and images to rehab. History of Theatre. The mask and the ritual. Creativity and art therapy. The therapeutic function of theater and theatrical techniques. Psychodrama of Moreno. The sociodrama Moreno and sociometry. Playback Theatre. Drama therapy. Other techniques of theatrical activity of therapeutic, social and training use (remedial theater, role method, t. oppressed, t. social, etc.). The cinema and its therapeutic function; videotherapy and video making. Techniques of therapeutic work with photography. The personalized therapeutic project (planning, outcome assessment, working time). The integrated multidisciplinary approach. The role of TDR, from the clinic to the formation of working groups. Presentation of a clinical case and drafting of intervention hypotheses based on the exposed techniques (exercise in small groups and discussion in the large group).
