Expected Learning Outcomes
Provide the student with an initial overview of Psychiatric Rehabilitation in order to offer basic knowledge for the professional work of the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Technician.
The objective of the course is to acquire knowledge on the theoretical contributions of the main authors and on practices based on scientific evidence in the field of psychiatric rehabilitation; make the contents relating to the recovery and empowerment paradigm known. The course also aims to raise awareness of the issues relating to stigma and social disability, in order to be able to work with the families and with the social context of the subjects, to encourage reintegration into the community.
Required Prerequisites
Basic notions of neuroanatomy and neurophysiology
Basic knowledge of the neurophysiological bases of perceptual, motor and cognitive functions.
For a better understanding of the rehabilitation process, the knowledge acquired in the psychology module can be useful.
