The major fields of clinical and scientific activity are internal medicine, glycemic and lipidic metabolisms and cardiovascular disease, with particular interest in diabetes and cardiovascular complications; in particular, the major fields of interest are subclinical alterations of vascular function in early alterations of glycemic omeostasis such as prediabetes and metabolic syndrome.
